Why does Kiryas Joel need a Safety Action Plan?Kiryas Joel is a fast-growing community with a vibrant pedestrian culture. However, the Village has experienced several vehicle-related serious injuries in the past few years. Because of this, the Village has made it a goal to reduce these crashes to zero by 2045. Progress towards this goal will require focused effort and meaningful guidance, hence the need for a Safety Action Plan.
